Area residents along Highway 32 from Leader to Swift Current in Southwest Saskatchewan tried for years to convince the province of the urgency for repairs to the highway. To our dismay, the Government did not act, and postponed indefinitely any major repairs.
Travellers on this road have provided many comments about cracked windshields and repairs to vehicles, but this is more than a story about the condition of Highway 32. It is also about ensuring the health and safety of people who travel this highway.
After years of neglect, the highway deteriorated to the point whereby we were unable to send the Leader Ambulance via Highway 32 to the Regional Hospital in Swift Current - that being our base hospital for the Cypress Health Region.
This website was created to document our frustrations, and record our efforts to build a new highway. We invite all travellers to post their comments on the condition of Highway 32 on this site. All comments will be edited for content, and posted on the website.
