Government Delivers Potholes

October 26, 2007

How did I arrive at $146.23?

On a trip back and forth to Swift Current, I believe the Dept of Highways delivered more potholes overnight. Since potholes don't weigh much, I've
calculated the fuel costs for delivery at 146.23!

ELDON always NO's best

March 21, 2007

Locals responsible for the 2007 Pothole Calendar are continuing their push to convince the Provincial Government of Lorne Calvert to initiate urgent repairs to HWY 32 between Leader and Swift Current.

Unveiled on HWY 32 this morning was a billboard renaming Highway 32 to ‘The Eldon Lautermilch Way,’ also known as ‘The NO Way.’

The sign continues:

‘NO Pavement + NO Gravel = NO ROAD

NO ROAD = NO Economic Development + NO Ambulance + NO Tourism

Eldon always NO’S best!’

At the unveiling this morning were four locals seated at a card table in the middle of the HWY 32 playing cards. It was their suggestion that having a local casino would improve the chances of immediate repairs to HWY 32.
